Supported genetic files
The LifeNome's Genomics AI® platform supports two primary types of raw genetic data file formats:
-
Textual Files: These raw genetic data files are commonly produced by genotyping from providers such as 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, and FamilyTreeDNA. They contain lists of SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) variations, organized into columns such as rsID, chromosome, position, and alleles. The platform supports various CSV separators for parsing these files.
-
(g)VCF Files: VCF stands for Variant Call Format, a textual format developed for large-scale genotyping projects (whole genome sequencing). VCF files are typically compressed with gzip and include a paired tabix-indexed file (.tbi). The LifeNome's Genomics AI® platform also supports the extended gVCF (genomic VCF) format.
